Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

Xàbia is my passion. I have lived here my whole life, and, from a very young age, I have been interested in the things that affect us all. It will not be just now that I discover everything our town has, because for me its great treasure (in addition to the landscape, the sea, the mountain, the streets ...) are the people. It’s our people who give life to Xàbia and make us feel part of something that is greater than us, which we must nurture, and never lose this spirit.

What made you decide to take a step forward and be part of this project?

After three legislatures I see myself with more experience and with more strength than ever. And filled with the principles that led me to be an active member of the Xàbia PSOE: the desire for a fair, progressive society, in which people are in the centre of all politics, and to preserve the things we hold most dear to us.

During this time, we have together achieved a great deal, but my dream challenge is what we have ahead of us, to consolidate Xàbia as an extraordinary place. In addition, supported by the confidence of my companions and with the other candidates who are good, hardworking people who love this town, makes this project the exact place where I wish to be.

I qualified in administrative studies and studied languages (English and German). I had my own company from 1996-2015. In the last 8 years I have dedicated myself exclusively to local politics, as a councillor for services, works and fiestas.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

Because of its people, multiculturalism and for the beauty of the territory, sea, mountains and extraordinary climate! What I like most in life is traveling and getting to know other cultures, fortunately I have been to many places in the world, but I have never found any place like Xàbia, for this reason I am doubly fortunate to have been born here, and to be able to live in Xàbia.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

Since I was a little girl, I have always liked being by the side of people and doing things to help improve people's lives. In 1996 Chulvi and I joined this group and he has always transmitted to me the love he has for Xàbia and the conviction that with effort and enthusiasm you can make life easier for people.

I really like fiestas and as councillor for fiestas, I play an active part in both the Fogueres committee and the Reyes committee, I get involved as much as possible in creating a team and ensuring that all the projects go ahead.

Xàbia is a Mediterranean town with deep and firm roots, a place to live facing the sea and mountains with extraordinary people.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

Enjoying the opportunity to promote and define Xàbia, together with a prepared and united team that loves its town and its people.

Tell us something more about yourself

I am a great sports fan, in general I like all of them, but if I had to decide which one is my favourite, I would definitely choose the "Valencian pilota". It is a sport that I am passionate about, both watching and practicing it, which I have done for many years.

I was born in Dénia, on March 28, 1969. I am 53 years old. I have been working for 31 years, 20 of which living in Xàbia with my family.

Studies and profession

I am the mother of Berta and Gemma and a teacher, working since September 1992 at the CEIP Puerto de Xàbia (I had a break of 3 school years in Catarroja and Picanya), so practically all my professional and personal life is linked to this school and to Xàbia.

Since 2012 I have been the director of the CEIP Puerto de Xàbia, after being part of the management team since 2001 as Secretary and Head of Studies with Leopold Cervera, the previous director.

In addition, since 2021 I have been the Alicante President of ADIP-PV, the association of the directors of infants and primary schools in the Valencian Community.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

Xàbia is a gift. A gift is "anything that makes the other person happier or less sad", and this is the effect that, in my opinion, Xàbia produces both in the people who are lucky enough to enjoy it all year round and in the large number of people who need their small dose of ‘xabia’ at some point in their life.

With regard to my work, education, few towns can offer their schoolchildren what Xàbia offers them. The municipality understood as part of the educational community has such wealth that it nourishes the schools almost infinitely. Nature, architecture, weather, leisure, culture, sports...

This, together with its beauty, make Xàbia an extraordinary place.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

I remember the moment when Jose told me that he would like to count on me for this project. Despite not being the first time that I had been approached to be part of an electoral list, proposals that I have always appreciated but declined, this time was the first time that I did not hesitate for these reasons:

First of all, for José and for his personal integrity, and the message his proposal evoked in me.

Secondly, the fact of managing an educational centre that has become a regional benchmark, and positioning myself in recent years (due to my role as president of ADIP) very close to the educational policies that are managed by the Ministry of Education. This makes me feel prepared and confident to be able to contribute responsibly and effectively always surrounded by a good team- to the development and growth of innovative municipal policies within this project.

I am part of the Valencian School Council as a substitute representative of the directors. I will become a regular representative in September 2024 if I become Country President of the Association.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

Xàbia is extraordinary for many things, but mainly for its people, always willing to help when necessary. Also, due to its microclimate, its incredible landscapes, and the ability of people to get involved at any event. Deep down because Xàbia gives off very good vibes.

This team is ready and prepared to continue making Xàbia an even more extraordinary place.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

8 years ago, I decided to join because of the vision and desire to work to improve my town together with an incredible team of people, from whom I can now say that I have learned a great deal. Basically, I took the step out of a vocation for public service. José Chulvi and all the people who make up his team also have that same vocation, so for that reason I decided to be part of the PSOE Xàbia team. It is the only team that displays that desire and vision. Today, that vision is still intact.

I am part of the Peña Valencianista, Riu Rau Xàbia and the Hogueras. Committee.

My hobbies are Valencia CF (despite the difficult situation it is experiencing this year), and motor sports, especially MotoGP and F1.

I have a Law Degree from the University of Valencia (2003-2009). I have been a practicing lawyer since December 2010. Currently, I am a member of the Alicante Bar Association. I have an office in Xàbia. My specialty is Civil-Family and Criminal law, although I have developed my work in various fields, such as Immigration Law, Family Law, Gender Violence and Minors Law, also out-of-court advice on sales and other legal transactions.

In addition, I am attached to the Office of the Dénia judicial demarcation since 2013.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

For me Xàbia is an extraordinary town, for many reasons:

Obviously, its climate makes Xàbia a very attractive town, added to the natural landscapes that it presents, as well as its traditions and customs.

In addition, we can enjoy an exquisite and varied gastronomy. But, above all, the people that surround Xàbia are incredible. Xàbia is a town of everyone and for everyone, which always has its doors open for any individual who wishes to be part of it.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

Honestly, I would never have thought of being part of Xàbia's politics, but it is an opportunity that was proposed to me and it fills me with satisfaction to be able to share this trip with José Chulvi's team. Its transparency and the good harmony that this team has transmitted for so many years have encouraged me to be part of it and embark on this adventure. And I wish with all my heart to be able to contribute my knowledge, and I hope with enthusiasm and a lot of responsibility and humility to continue creating the history of our town.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

Xàbia is beautiful, and we all know it. Living in this town is one of the things that we all want and of which we should feel very proud. Many times, we do not value what we have and we do not give it sufficient importance, but thanks to the experience of living abroad, I came to the conclusion that I needed to return to Xàbia to relive that special feeling with the streets, the sea, the mountains, the good weather, and with our people. I think we are very lucky to live in Xàbia and we must continue making our town, as the verse of our Xàbia pasodoble says, ‘the best land in the world’.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

The opportunity to learn about the internal functioning of Xàbia, and to be able to contribute everything in my power to improve and bring improvements to our town, and to our people.

Tell us something more about yourself

I participate in the cultural life of our town in a very active way. I really like the planning that has been done over the years, and as a citizen who is interested in culture, I can say that this planning rises to a national level. As for me, I am a member of different musical associations in the town, such as the "Ars Nova" of Xàbia, and the Xàbia Musical Artistic Centre.

With regard to fiestas, I am not a member of any fiesta organization, but I am present at all the fiestas that Xàbia has, and I like to enjoy every moment and share it with everyone.

Because of the people, the climate, the sea, our traditions... Everything that surrounds our town is extraordinary.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

The desire to participate in social life and in the improvement of my town, and in the confidence that Chulvi gave me.

Tell us something more about yourself

I would like to continue being part of this government team, to continue doing things for Xàbia and to be able to finish the things that we have outstanding.

I have always been involved in the world of the San Juan fiesta, and currently, I am part of the hogueras committee, supporting the fiestas councillor, Kika Mata, as much as possible.

I was born in Xàbia and am 43 years old.

Studies and profession

A graduate in journalism, and have worked in radio, press and television, as a scriptwriter. Now I am a Valencian teacher in a secondary school. Member of the publishing house Libros de la Drassana and of the editorial board of the magazine Lletraferit. Currently, I do the weekly culture podcast Heridos de Letra on Plaza Radio. As a writer I have published novels for young adults, an edition of Tirant lo Blanch and Ernest Shackleton's diary, La cocina de la Marina Alta and illustrated children's stories. And between 2015 and 2019 I was fortunate enough to be a member of the mayor's cabinet, seeing first-hand what it was like to work for this town.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

Xàbia is the only place I call "home". And this makes it extraordinary. Here the landscape and the streets speak of us as a people. Here we have made friends and have learned the two or three things that matter. Here are the people we love. We have a human, cultural and natural heritage that is our privilege, but also our responsibility, and it requires prudance to take care of it.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

I have joined this team because I like the people who make it up. José Chulvi has changed the face of politics in Xàbia and has made it closer, more effective, and exciting. He is a person you can trust. That is why I am sure that this is the right place to work for a town that belongs to everyone and preserves... what makes it extraordinary. If I had to sum it up in one sentence, perhaps it would be “that a business model does not end with a life model”.

Will it have a cost? Yes, but otherwise it wouldn't be fun.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

Xàbia is an extraordinary town because it maintains the essence of a town despite being almost a city. Walking through its streets, sharing with its people, knowing, and recognizing each of its corners because they are full of life... from its historic centre, the port, the Paseo del Muntanyar (now without parked vehicles), these have been growing but in a sustainable and respectful way with our privileged environment.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

During this legislature we have had to face unique situations. The covid pandemic first and the subsequent war in Ukraine made all the certainties, and assurances we had disappear. But José Chulvi and his team have always been clear that people came first. Supporting the people of our town, protecting the well-being of the citizenry is what makes me want to continue working by their side. Because I know that he is the best person to do it, whatever happens, he will always be with his town.

I like life in my town. Going out to sea every week at the Xàbia rowing club, participating in the mountain "escoleta" organized by the CEX, enjoying the top-level cultural programming that we have every week and, above all, having feminist references, such as Pepa Guardiola with whom to be able to debate and grow as a woman.

Assistant Technician of Commerce and Commercial Management and Marketing. I have worked as an administrator and I am currently part of the team of trusted government personnel, carrying out my work mainly in the area of services and urban planning, although I also cooperate with other Departments, but what I really love about my work is helping in the small things of daily life, problems that seem small, but are very important for the people who suffer from them.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

I think that Xàbia is an extraordinary town because its people reflect two of the main values with which I feel identified, such as solidarity and collaboration through citizen participation.

Xàbia has more than demonstrated its solidarity in the face of any adversity that has arisen both within and outside the framework of our municipality. Citizen participation in its innumerable and active associations, festive or not, that fight every day to make Xàbia a better place in which to live together and where our children are capable of developing their qualities.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

José Chulvi's team is a faithful reflection of our citizens, people who are close, accessible, willing to listen to the difficulties of the citizens and try to resolve them, people who contribute to our municipality, without ever underestimating the ideas of other groups, people willing to employ their experience and efforts in making Xàbia the town of which we all continue to feel more proud every day.

Currently I cooperate in the Management of several local Associations, such as the Jávea Autism Association, in the Ampas of the Conservatory, the Trenc d'Alba School and the IES La Mar, as well as a representative of the school councils of these same centres.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

I saw paradise when I arrived in 1976. Things have changed A LOT since then, but I don't know where better to live. For this reason, many foreigners and foreigners retire here. PROOF THAT IT IS EXTRAORDINARY, NO?

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

I did this "pas endavant" a long time ago, trusting José Chulvi and I will continue to follow and help him to the best of my abilities.

Tell us something more about yourself

For me it is VERY IMPORTANT to try to include the foreign Residents in municipal initiatives in general and listen to their voices in order to improve the state of the urbanizations in particular. I find out about this every time I attend a local meeting or an association club meeting.

Although I will not be in the next legislature, I will have to be replaced at BAM, at Montgó, at "La Cala", at the Dutch club, at AFRAM, at Tesoro Park, at Las Laderas, at "Todos Juntos Jávea", at "La Mandarin", etc.

I am 50 years old, in the town of Teulada, although in just 6 months I moved to live in the brand new Thiviers district, which only had yellow apartments, in short, I am from Xàbia.

The studies that I have are the basic EGB and I am a tradesman.

I have had a mini-reform company from 2000 to December 2022 and am joining the municipal company AMJASA.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

I think I live in an extraordinary town, because of the people, the fiestas, the weather, the coast, the mountains, and from time to time the Gorgos River surprises us, and if it doesn't do anything bad, we're happy to see it.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

For years, I have liked working for my town and I see the great work and effort that this government team has made for the people of Xàbia, also what remains to be done, which is not little. That is why I would like to be a participant and be able to contribute my grain of sand in this new project.

Tell us something more about yourself

I have been a member of the CEX (Centro Excursionista Xàbia) since 1992, I have been on the board but left it a few years ago.

I joined Xàbia Civil Protection as a volunteer in the year 2000 and in 2015 they appointed me Deputy Chief of Xàbia Civil Protection, a position that I developed with my colleague José (Miero), who is the Head of the group and together with the fifty other colleagues who form the association.Since 2017 I have taken several forest firefighting training courses to enable me to offer in a safer and more efficient way my voluntary service in Xàbia.

I think that being with you in the PSOE I can continue taking care of the town that I love the most.

I think that Xàbia is an extraordinary place because it combines the traditional with diversity, roots with avant-garde, as far as people are concerned. And as for the environment, the spectacular combination of sea and mountains that we are fortunate enough to be able to enjoy.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

My decision to join José Chulvi's team is based on several reasons: I have seen José grow as a person/mayor first hand, I am captivated by the sincere devotion of wanting to serve Xàbia and the absolute commitment he has. This inspires my total confidence in the project. On the other hand, I came to Xàbia when I was 8 years old, my roots are here, my family is here, and I have always felt like I belonged to Xàbia despite my trips. This makes me really want to get involved and contribute everything I can for the Xàbia, which has given me so much. What better way to do it by joining the great team you have made.

I am not a member of any cultural/fiesta association, although I would really like to be, if I am very active at a sporting level, which is the environment I frequent the most, outside of my working life.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

The sea, the mountains and the beaches make Xàbia a special place, but I think above all because of its people: hospitable, hard-working, and welcoming. It makes a unique combination.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

I have known José forever and he is a person who inspires me with serenity, tranquillity, and confidence. He gives us security.

He has shown during these years that politics can be done with capital letters. Always working for the people, giving, and yielding to reach all places and with all people.

Tell us something more about yourself

I am a member of two associations in our town, that of Santa Lucía and that of San Sebastián. This brings you out of your usual circle and meet more people. People who are very involved in their roots and who want to maintain the traditions of a town that in the end are our hallmarks. We may sometimes think differently, but we all want to reach the same goal: to care for and preserve our culture.

I think that Xàbia is an extraordinary town because it has, the light, the climate, the views and above all the people.

Because I trust him, I think he is very hard-working, honest and a good person.

I am part of the fiesta committee in which we are a new committee, but very united, we have achieved three quintadas at San Juan with an outstanding report.

I am also involved in the world of theatre which is my passion.

E.G.B and 3 years professional training (administrative). Basic English, fluent French, and some Russian (my husband is Ukrainian). I have been in the hospitality industry for 25 years.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

I have always boasted of living in one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Spain, its coves, beaches, and views are incredible, if we add to that that we have everything in one, the sea and the mountains, the attraction is much greater, its gastronomy and above all its people making it the ideal place to live, I feel privileged.

In 2018 I decided to form a group of cleaning volunteers and thus be able to help my town maintain a healthy environment, since there are more who dirty than those who clean, this is how ‘Xàbia neta entre tots’ became, a volunteer service that I feel very proud of, which has been very well received in the town.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

Well, I think that I would not have taken the step if José did not tell me that he wanted me to be added to his list, I have been supporting him since the first legislature, but always from behind without being visible. I have been a Chulvista since the day I saw the electoral banner with his photo in the Imperial bar, my sister's bar. Everyone in my family is a socialist and as Chulvi is a socialist on top of that, then so much the better. He has not had it easy but he has surrounded himself with great people and they are doing a very good job, so if they trust in me that I can help with something I cannot disappoint them, that is why I am here.

I am a lover and defender of animals and the environment, I enjoy sports, especially athletics, I have been a member of the Llebeig Club for years, I consider myself a very normal and empathetic but very stubborn person. I am very devoted to our Nazarene and enjoy all our local fiestas.

I am 70 years old and was born in Écija. I have lived in Xàbia for 50 years.

I am retired, but I have worked in everything. I have owned a shop and have also worked at the town hall as a trustee in the service department.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

The first time I came to Xàbia I was impressed by its bay and its light. Today I still think that everything that surrounds us is extraordinary and I want it to continue to be so for many years, which is why I trust José Chulvi and his team, because I know that one of their priorities is to continue taking care of our town and its people.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

I've been with Chulvi from the beginning, we practically joined together. Every day I am more surprised by his tireless spirit, the ability to maintain enthusiasm and emotion despite all the difficulties that I know his work entails, and that way of being that makes each person give the best of himself as he does every day. I really have great admiration for him.

I am an active member of the Casa de Andalucía in Xàbia and I actively participate in the fiestas of the municipality and wherever I am needed.

I am 61 years old and was born in Valladolid, but I have lived in Xàbia for 44 years.

I completed EGB studies. I was a painter for 30 years with a painting contractor and 10 years as a self-employed painter, and I have also been a councillor for civil protection with Xàbia Town Council.
Subsequently, a member of the government team and now councillor for services and environment.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

I think Xàbia is one of the best places to live and spend the summer for its geographical situation as well as for the sea, mountains, and sports facilities.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

Chulvi has a charisma and qualities that mobilize people and convince you to get involved in his project without thinking. I did so from day one and I continue it.

I am president of the Xàbia Cycling Club, and I really like to go out on my bicycle especially at weekends touring every part of the Marina Alta.

I came to live in Xàbia for work, I got married and I have 3 daughters.

I am 60 years old and was born in Valencia, but haved lived in Xàbia for 34 years.

I am a specialist in the tourist industry and a travel agent. I have been councillor in Xàbia since 2011, during these 12 years (in different periods) responsibility for Tourism, Heritage, fishing and livestock, environment and beaches and economic promotion.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

It is a wonderful place to live, calm with all kinds of services, with a reputable tourism and with great opportunities for work.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

His honesty, transparency, and dedication to his town.

I was born in Xàbia 69 years ago.

Studies and profession

I am a law graduate, although I am now retired.

I was the first woman as a councillor after the restoration of democracy, and was on the list of the PSOE for the year1983, which we won by majority, 9 councillors out of 17 and in 1987 I was part of the PSOE list also as no. 2, until July 1988 when I resigned for personal reasons.

Throughout my professional life I have worked in all areas of justice, such as a lawyer in civil and criminal matters, and also being part of an office dedicated to urban development. I was a judge in Villajoyosa for 2 years and as a procedural manager in the Denia courts for 5 years.

In 2015 I was part of the PSOE candidacy with Chulvi as no. 2 that achieved 14 councillors and developed the work of Councillor for Urban Planning and Personal. I stood again in the 2019 candidacy as no. 2 running the Department of Urban Planning until October 2021 when I retired.

Why do you think Xàbia is an extraordinary town?

For its landscape and for the people who inhabit it. We are a welcoming town.

What made you decide to take a step forward and join José Chulvi's team?

I like the project that he has for the town of Xàbia and I think he is the best person to continue developing it.

Tell us something more about yourself

I am not a member of any ‘peña’, but whenever I can, I go to the cultural acts that are celebrated in our town and of which there are many. I think we are fortunate to have the cultural programme we enjoy.
